Every Friday, Catholics remember the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who willingly offered His life on the Cross for our salvation. Out of His infinite love for us, Jesus accepted suffering and death to redeem us from sin and open the way to eternal life.
The Cross is the greatest sign of God’s love for humanity. Jesus did not abandon us in our sins; He gave Himself for us. Let us never take His sacrifice for granted. May every Friday remind us to repent of our sins, forgive those who have hurt us, love our neighbors, and remain faithful to Christ and His Holy Church.
Let us pause today and thank Our Lord for the precious gift of His sacrifice. Jesus died for us on Friday. Let us never forget!
A Friday Prayer Before the Cross
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O loving Jesus, my Lord and Savior, I kneel before Your Holy Cross with a humble and grateful heart. You suffered and died for my salvation, pouring out Your Precious Blood because of Your infinite love for me.
Forgive me for my sins and for the times I have forgotten the great price You paid for my redemption. Help me turn away from sin, follow Your commandments, and remain faithful to You throughout my life.
Teach me to carry my daily crosses with patience, to forgive those who offend me, and to love others as You have loved me. Through Your Holy Cross, strengthen my faith and lead me on the path to eternal life.
O Jesus crucified, have mercy on me and on the whole world. May Your sacrifice never be forgotten, and may my life always give glory to Your Holy Name.
I ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
