Mime, singing, and drawing are used in children’s catechesis (and youth-team formation) as pedagogical “means” – not as entertainment, and not as substitutes for doctrine or prayer. In Catholic practice, they help children receive the faith more deeply by engaging heart, senses, memory, and participation, so that the meeting truly leads them toward communion with Jesus and the Eucharist.
