National Eucharistic Conference urges participants to become ‘prayer partners’ during Year of Mission

CV NEWS FEED // As the National Eucharistic Revival moves into its next phase, the Year of Mission, the National Eucharistic Conference is calling on Catholics to become “Prayer Partners.”

“With so much at stake, we need Catholics everywhere to cover this movement in prayer, ” the Conference stated in a June 3 email news release, appealing to the faithful to consider joining its intercessory team as a Prayer Partner.

In the Year of Mission, Catholics will be encouraged to “walk with” someone on their “journey home to the Catholic Church.”

With the July Congress fast-approaching, the Conference organizers also emphasized the importance of praying for pilgrims who are currently on the road, and for the upcoming July 17-21 event.

“Revival is a sovereign act of God in response to the prevailing prayers of his people,” the statement read, encouraging readers to join “thousands of passionate Catholics” in signing up to become Prayer Partners.

“Ask God to bring abundant fruit out of the seeds that were planted in this past year, and to work his wonders in the year to come,” the statement continued. “We can’t wait to see what he’s about to do.”

“Help us cover the whole movement in prayer, fasting, and penance,” the statement concluded.

As CatholicVote previously reported, the Conference is also in need of volunteers for the July Congress.
