Saint Agnes
Mk 3:20-21
And the crowd came together again, so that they could not even eat. When his family heard it, they went out to restrain him, for people were saying, “He has gone out of his mind.”

Jesus Has Been There Too
Jesus had been healing people and driving out demons and had just appointed the twelve apostles. Things were going along swimmingly. Now all of a sudden people were saying he was crazy, and his family decided they needed to have a chat with him. Apparently he’d touched a nerve!
Often it feels like that in life – that just when things are going well, something happens that trips us up. We can take comfort in the fact that we are not alone in that experience. In becoming human, Jesus participated in the full gamut of human emotions and experiences. He knows what we’re going through because he went through it, too.
What are you dealing with today that you can take to Jesus? He wants to give you his comfort, wisdom, and grace in all aspects of your life.

Thank you, Jesus, for being with me as I walk through this day. Help me to feel your presence and to trust you to be with me every step of the way. Amen.
