Can’t make it to DC? Join online witness proclaiming humanity of pre-born instead

An advocacy group is encouraging people around the world to take part in a coordinated pro-life social media campaign Jan. 23, the same day thousands of pro-life advocates will gather in Washington, D.C., for the annual March for Life.

The campaign, called March Online for the Preborn, is organized by Baby Life Begins and asks participants to post the same short video depicting fetal development to their social media platforms throughout the day using a shared hashtag.

In a press release announcing the campaign, the group described the effort as “a unified online witness to the humanity of unborn children.”

“Let’s make the preborn baby famous,” Robert Seemuth, founder of Baby Life Begins, said in an emailed press release.

How to participate

Participants are asked to register on the campaign’s website. That way, organizers can email them the video, which can then be posted at any time on Jan. 23, according to the group.

“Participants from anywhere in the world will ‘march’ by posting the same powerful video of the preborn,” the group said in the release.

Participation is free and open to users worldwide. Organizers also encourage participants to add the hashtag #MarchOnlineForThePreborn to link posts together across platforms.

“By uniting around one video on the same day, we can show the world — clearly and unmistakably — the humanity and dignity of life in the womb,” Seemuth said.

He said the campaign is aimed at reaching people who may encounter the posts while making decisions about pregnancy.

“Your post,” he said, “may be part of a woman choosing life.”
