Everyone who attends the Jan. 23 March for Life in Washington, D.C., has a chance on the same day to enter free at the Museum of the Bible, which is located close to the Smithsonian buildings.
The first 1,000 people who identify as March for Life participants get free admission, according to an emailed press release from the museum.
“Experience the Bible through award-winning interactive exhibits, immersive storytelling, and engaging educational programs,” the release states.
For marchers who cannot visit on Jan. 23, the museum is offering the promo code MFL to get $10 tickets that are valid from Jan. 21 through Jan. 25. General admission is typically $34.99 for adults and $24.99 for youth 5-17. Children four and under are free.
One of the free exhibits open until Dec. 31 is the Megiddo Mosaic display, which shows a mosaic that was used in an ancient Catholic church and dates back to the third century, as CatholicVote previously reported. Unearthed in Israel in 2005, the mosaic’s inscription is a significant artifact of early Church theology on the Incarnation.
“This artifact includes the earliest known physical inscription acknowledging Jesus as GOD, alongside Greek texts that illuminate the roles of a Roman Centurion and women leaders within the church,” Jacqueline Schleppenbach, a museum representative, stated in a February 2025 email about the exhibit.
According to the release, the educational programs are not included in general admission and require a separate add-on ticket purchase. Viewing the limited-time Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit, which is on display until Sept. 7 before the scrolls’ return to Israel, also requires a separate ticket.
“Hundreds of priceless artifacts will accompany the scrolls, including the Magdala Stone (an embossed table featuring reliefs of the temple from the hometown of Mary Magdalene) and the so-called ‘Jesus Boat’ (a first-century fishing vessel preserved for two millennia in the Sea of Galilee),” the museum’s website states. “Together, they transport guests back to the land of Israel during this era to experience a time that continues to shape our history, faith, and culture.”
