St. Maximus was known especially for his powerful sermons. Through his preaching, he taught believers how to live the Gospel in everyday life. He urged Christians to care for the poor, practice justice, avoid greed, and remain faithful to prayer.

He often reminded the faithful that Christianity must not remain only in words but must be visible in actions. For St. Maximus, true faith was shown through mercy, generosity, and love for neighbor.

His writings reveal his deep understanding of Scripture and his pastoral heart. He defended the teachings of the Church and encouraged unity among believers during turbulent times.
