Saint Hugh of Grenoble (1053–1132) was a French bishop renowned for his holiness, charity, and devotion to reforming the Church. Born into a noble family, Hugh entered monastic life and later became the Bishop of Grenoble. He dedicated himself to the spiritual and material welfare of his people, caring for the poor, defending the Church from corruption, and fostering monastic communities. His humility, wisdom, and pastoral zeal earned him widespread respect during his lifetime and after his death.
Saint Hugh is remembered as a model bishop who combined strong leadership with deep prayer and compassion for the needy.
