“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:29)
Lord Jesus,
You who were exhausted and falling under the weight of the cross,
look with tenderness on my tired heart. Like Simon of Cyrene, I sometimes resist the crosses in my life.
Give me the grace to say “yes” even when it’s hard.
Help me to see that every act of patience, every small sacrifice, every moment I choose love over anger,
is a way of walking with You.
Mary, Mother of Sorrows, stand beside me as you stood beside your Son.
Intercede for me, that I may finish this Lent with a heart more like His—humble, merciful, and full of hope. Jesus, I trust in You.
Amen.
