Catholic Prayer for February 15, 2026

February 15, 2026, which falls on the Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (just after the Feast of St. Valentine and in the lead-up to Lent starting February 18).

The Church commemorates St. Claude de la Colombière (optional memorial in many places), the Jesuit confessor and promoter of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesusalongside St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. His life inspires trust in God’s mercy, complete surrender, and burning love for Christ—perfect themes as we approach Lent.

Prayer to St. Claude de la Colombière

Heavenly Father,
You raised up St. Claude de la Colombière as a faithful servant and zealous apostle of Your Son’s Sacred Heart.
Through his intercession, grant us the grace to trust completely in Your divine providence,
to surrender our fears and attachments,
and to love You with a heart ever burning with charity, as he did. St. Claude, who authenticated the revelations of St. Margaret Mary
and gave himself wholly to the love of Christ,
pray for us that we may open our hearts to Jesus’ merciful love,
especially in this time of preparation for Lent.
Help us to console the Sacred Heart by our fidelity, repentance, and acts of reparation.

May we, through your example, live lives of quiet heroism in faith,
bearing witness to God’s love in our daily duties and relationships.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

St. Claude de la Colombière, pray for us!
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
