Saint of the Day: Saint Carlo Acutis

Feast Day: October 12
Patron Saint of: Youth, programmers, and the internet

Short Biography:
Saint Carlo Acutis was born in 1991 in London and grew up in Milan, Italy. From an early age, he had a deep devotion to the Holy Eucharist, calling it his “highway to heaven.” Gifted in technology, Carlo used his computer skills to create a website cataloging Eucharistic miracles around the world, helping countless people grow in their love for Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament.

Though he lived a short life, passing away at just 15 from leukemia in 2006, Carlo offered his suffering for the Church and for the Pope. His joyful faith, love for the Rosary, and pure heart inspired millions — especially young people searching for meaning in the digital age.

Carlo was canonized as a saint on September 7, 2025, by Pope Leo XIV. He reminds us that holiness is possible for everyone, even in our modern world.

Famous Quote: “Not me, but God.”

Prayer:

Saint Carlo Acutis,
you showed us that holiness is possible in everyday life.
Help us to use our talents and technology to spread the love of Jesus.
Inspire young people to seek Christ above all things.
Amen.
