Saint of the Day – August 25
Today we honor St. Louis IX, King of France (1214–1270), a monarch known for his deep faith, humility, and justice. Though he ruled with great authority, he lived as a servant of Christ, caring for the poor, founding hospitals, and supporting the Church. He was also a devoted father and led two crusades, striving to defend the Christian faith.
St. Louis reminds us that holiness can be lived in every vocation, whether king or commoner, by placing God above all things.
Prayer
O God, who blessed St. Louis with both earthly power and heavenly wisdom, help us to seek justice, live humbly, and serve You faithfully in all that we do. Amen.
