One Minute Catechism – What Is Religion?

Question: What is religion?
Answer: Religion is the virtue by which we give to God the worship, honor, and service that belong to Him alone. It is the way we recognize our total dependence on our Creator and express our love and gratitude through prayer, obedience, and sacrifice. True religion unites us to God and leads us to live according to His will in all things.

Believe all the truths revealed by God.

Question: Is it necessary for us to practice religion?
Answer: Yes, because God is our Creator and Lord, and we owe Him worship, love, and obedience. To neglect religion is to forget the very purpose for which we were made—to know, love, and serve God.

Scripture:
“You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.” (Luke 4:8)

Reflection: Lord, help me to practice true religion with a sincere heart—loving You above all and serving You faithfully each day.
